Age Discrimination

The Age Discrimination Act of 1967 (ADEA) and the California Fair Employment and Housing Act protect employees who are over 40 years of age from employment discrimination based on age. It is unlawful to discriminate against a person because of his/her age with respect to any term, condition or privilege of employment, including hiring, firing, promotion, layoff, compensation, benefits, job assignments and training.

The Highman Law Firm strives to protect older workers from age discrimination or harassment in the workplace. We litigate to seek relief due to workplace unfairness. It is also unlawful to retaliate against persons for opposing employment practices that discriminate based on age or filing a claim for age discrimination.
